The 2019 Tesla Model 3 Mid Range RWD was a sedan produced from 2018 to 2019. It features a single motor (permanent magnet) RWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 264 miles with 130 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Top speed is 125 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The Mid Range Model 3 lived a short, quiet life. Offered from late 2018 through early 2019, it slotted a ~62 kWh battery between the Standard and Long Range packs, giving buyers a middle option that Tesla priced around $45,000 at launch.
It was rear-wheel drive only and disappeared from the configurator within a few months once the Standard Range Plus arrived and pricing on the Long Range shifted. Most people either stretched for the LR or saved with the SR+, leaving the Mid Range without a clear audience. It's one of the rarest Model 3 variants, and a curiosity in Tesla's lineup history.
