The 2022 Tesla Model X Long Range AWD was an SUV produced from 2022 to 2024. It features a dual motor (front induction + rear permanent magnet) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 348 miles with 102 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is 155 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
After an extended production gap, the Model X returned in 2022 completely redesigned inside. Tesla gutted the interior and replaced it with the Palladium platform: a 17-inch landscape touchscreen, no more stalks, and the controversial yoke steering wheel (a round wheel became optional later). The falcon wing doors stayed, but almost everything between them changed.
The new Palladium interior added ventilated front seats, a rear entertainment screen for second-row passengers, and completely redesigned trim. Build quality took a visible step forward from the pre-refresh cars. The Long Range dual-motor AWD setup used updated motors and a structural battery approach that improved rigidity. It felt like a new vehicle wearing a familiar silhouette.
