The 2019 Tesla Model X Long Range AWD was an SUV produced from 2019 to 2021. It features a dual motor (permanent magnet + ac induction) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 325 miles with 97 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is 155 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The 2019 "Raven" update was the most significant mid-cycle refresh the Model X had received. Tesla swapped in a new permanent magnet reluctance motor on the front axle, replacing the original AC induction unit, and added adaptive suspension as standard. The result was better efficiency, more range, and a noticeably smoother ride. The "Long Range" name replaced the old battery-size naming scheme.
Raven also brought a redesigned drive unit that ran quieter and shed weight. For existing Model X owners, the improvements were significant enough to justify trading up. For new buyers, it smoothed out many of the rough edges that had defined the X since launch.
