The 2020 Tesla Model X Long Range Plus was an SUV produced from 2020 to 2021. It features a dual motor (permanent magnet + ac induction) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 351 miles with 105 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is 155 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The Long Range Plus was the final evolution of the original Model X platform before Tesla's complete redesign. The "Plus" suffix signaled incremental efficiency gains from revised wheel aero, reduced rolling resistance tires, and drivetrain firmware tweaks. Tesla squeezed more range from the same 100 kWh battery without changing the cells.
This was the last Model X with a traditional steering wheel, a normal instrument cluster behind it, and the pre-refresh interior that early adopters knew well. Production paused after 2020 as Tesla retooled for the Palladium refresh, creating a long gap with no new Model X deliveries. That scarcity made well-equipped Long Range Plus examples surprisingly strong on the resale market.
