The 2019 Tesla Model X Performance AWD was an SUV produced from 2019 to 2021. It features a dual motor (permanent magnet + ac induction) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 305 miles with 91 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds. Top speed is 163 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The Raven Performance Model X paired the new front permanent magnet motor with the existing rear induction motor for a dual-motor setup that was both faster and more efficient than the outgoing P100D. Tesla quietly retired the "P" prefix and "Ludicrous Mode" branding, folding it all under the cleaner "Performance" badge.
What made this version interesting was how the Raven drivetrain improvements didn't sacrifice range for speed. Previous performance variants always took a range hit; the 2019 Performance actually gained miles over its predecessor while getting quicker. It also gained the adaptive air suspension, making it a better daily driver than any prior performance X.
