The P100D with Ludicrous+ was, for a time, the quickest production car ever made. A 2.5-second 0-60 in a full-size sedan carrying five adults and their luggage. Car and Driver and Motor Trend both confirmed the numbers. It could embarrass supercars costing three times as much, and it did so regularly on drag strips around the world.

Ludicrous+ mode (enabled via an Easter egg in early software, later made official) preheated the battery to optimal temperature for maximum current delivery. The P100D remains one of the most significant performance cars of the 2010s, regardless of powertrain type.
