The 2016 Tesla Model S 60 (2016) was a sedan produced from 2016 to 2017. It features a single motor (ac induction) RWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 210 miles. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. Top speed is 130 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
Tesla brought the 60 badge back in June 2016, but this one was a trick of software: underneath sat a full 75 kWh pack electronically limited to 60. The $66,000 price re-opened the Model S to buyers priced out after the original 60 died, and owners could pay later to unlock the rest of the battery.
The experiment lasted ten months. Tesla dropped the 60 and 60D in April 2017, nudging everyone to the 75, then famously pushed free range unlocks to these cars during hurricane evacuations in 2017.
