The 2017 Tesla Model S 75D was a sedan produced from 2016 to 2019. It features a dual motor (ac induction) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 259 miles with 103 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Top speed is 140 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The 75D served as the entry-level Model S from mid-2016 through early 2019, the longest run of any facelifted trim. Its 75 kWh battery split the difference between affordability and livability, offering enough range for most commutes and road trips with Supercharger stops.
It came with Enhanced Autopilot as an option and the updated body-color nosecone from the 2016 facelift. For many buyers, the 75D was simply "the Model S" without qualifiers. No Ludicrous Mode, no record-chasing specs. Just a well-built, long-range electric sedan that happened to be quicker than most sports cars at the stoplight.
