The 2026 Tesla Model Y L AWD (Juniper) is an SUV in production since 2025. It features a dual motor (induction front + permanent magnet rear) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 325 miles. The Model Y L is the long-wheelbase, three-row version of the Juniper Model Y. Tesla stretched the wheelbase 5.9 inches to 119.7 and added about 7 inches of overall length, spending it on a 2-2-2 six-seat layout with proper second-row captain's chairs instead of the cramped jump seats the standard car offered. It debuted in China with deliveries starting September 2025, expanded to Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines in March 2026, and launched in the US on July 2, 2026 as a fully loaded Launch Series at $61,990.
Dual motors produce a theoretical combined 456 hp, and Tesla quotes 4.4 seconds to 60 mph with 325 miles of EPA-estimated range. Export-market cars carry an 88.2 kWh (gross) NCM pack with roughly 84 kWh usable, versus 82 kWh in the Chinese domestic version. Cargo volume is 89.7 cubic feet, and the reshaped roofline and rear spoiler cut the drag coefficient to 0.216. Adaptive dampers, a 16-inch center display, an 8-inch second-row screen, and a 19-speaker audio system are standard on the Launch Series.
