The 2021 Tesla Model S Long Range AWD was a sedan produced from 2021 to 2024. It features a dual motor (front induction + rear permanent magnet) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 405 miles with 120 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Top speed is 155 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The 2021 "Palladium" refresh was the biggest update in the Model S's history. Tesla replaced the entire interior: a new horizontal 17-inch cinematic display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and the controversial yoke steering wheel option. The center console got a complete redesign with wireless charging, and rear passengers gained their own 8-inch screen.
Under the body, Tesla switched to a new structural battery architecture with improved thermal management. The exterior changes were subtle, with a revised front bumper and new taillights, but the cabin was unrecognizable compared to its predecessor. Heated and ventilated seats came standard in all positions.
