The 2024 Tesla Model S Standard Range was a sedan produced from 2023 to 2024. It features a dual motor (software-limited) AWD powertrain. EPA-rated range is 320 miles with 120 MPGe. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. Top speed is 149 mph. Manufactured at Fremont, CA.
The Model S Standard Range was a short-lived price-leader trim Tesla introduced on August 14, 2023, at $78,490, roughly $10,000 below the Long Range. It used the same dual-motor Palladium hardware as the Long Range but with a software-imposed cap of 320 miles of EPA range and a 149 mph top speed. Tesla never built a smaller pack for it; the limitation was firmware, meaning the variant could theoretically be unlocked later. The trim never gained traction and was pulled from the U.S. configurator in early 2024 after Tesla cut the regular Long Range price, making the Standard Range redundant. It was discontinued well before the 2025 refresh.
