The 2027 Tesla Roadster Gen 2 has been announced but has not yet entered production. Tesla claims a 1.9-second 0-60 mph time. Estimated range is 620 miles.
First teased in 2017 with a surprise unveiling at the Semi event, the second-generation Roadster has been "coming soon" for years. Tesla claims it'll crack 1.9 seconds to 60 mph in the base version. An optional SpaceX Package would reportedly use cold-air thrusters sourced from SpaceX to push performance even further, though details remain sparse.
If and when it ships, the new Roadster would sit at the top of Tesla's lineup as a halo car. Reservation holders have been waiting since 2017 with $50,000 deposits. Production timelines have slipped repeatedly, making this Tesla's most anticipated and most delayed vehicle.
